Geneva Equestrian - "Supporting USEA Area IV" - Announces 2011 Eventing Results and 2012 Clinic and Show Series

Owner, trainer and competitive rider, Cindy Bonamarte, along with head trainer Brad Hall, could not be more excited about what their eventing team have accomplished in 2011 and have planned for 2012.

The 2011 season got off to an early start with many riders traveling to the Kentucky Spring Bay Horse Trial to kick off the season.  The team travelled throughout Area IV supporting as many recognized horse trials as their competitive horse budgets would allow.  With the group of over twenty strong at most events many miles were travelled,   accurate dressage tests ridden,   challenging cross country courses conquered, and, double clear stadium courses completed.  Everyone always put forth their best effort, arrived at every competition prepared, and most importantly worked as a team cheering and supporting everyone's efforts.

A few of the team's accomplishments for 2011 were:

Brad Hall received the first ever High Point Trainer Trophy at the Fox River Valley Horse Trial.  The trophy was awarded to the trainer whose team earned the most points based on ribbon standings.

The team is gearing up for 2012 and has many plans and goals for the upcoming season.  Madison Bonamarte and Tatum Stam are in Naples Florida for the winter.  They are training six horses for the upcoming season while completing online college courses and planning on doing a few eventing horse trials in Ocala throughout the winter.  Ashley Guidry is training in Arizona for the winter while doing online high school classes and plans to meet up with the team to compete in the south this spring as well.  Cindy and Brad will be training in Galena, Illinois and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and hosting Clinics at Geneva Equestrian throughout the winter.  Cindy and Brad are available to help the team and all who love the thrill of eventing to set and train to achieve their personal goals.

If you and your horse are not performing at your best, come to a Brad Hall clinic and learn to communicate more effectively through the proper use of your aids! Brad Hall of Galena, IL is a certified USEA Trainer.  Brad has over twenty years of experience training horses and giving lessons to students of all ages and levels of experience. Brad specialized in starting young horses, and the upper level horses that need some confidence boosting.  In 2010, Brad rode three horses at the Area IV Championships and all rides were extremely successful.  Pippa was Reserve Preliminary Champion; Eva was Training Champion and Puma placed 1st in the Preliminary Horse Trial. Some of Brad's additional accomplishments include: Competing at the Radnor Hunt International Three-Day Event & Horse Trials, Georgia International Three-Day, and Wayne Horse Trials - all events were competed at Intermediate Level. The open format of Brad's clinic lends itself to individual attention not often experienced with clinicians of his caliber. All participants are invited and encouraged to stay throughout the day to listen to all sessions and gain additional knowledge. He has an outstanding ability to quickly access the horse & rider and focus on improvements for both in the session.

Scheduled Brad Hall clinic dates are as follows:

December 30th and 31st

January 21st and 22nd

February 19th and 20th

March 3rd and 4th

March 31st and April 1st

So whether you are training for a recognized horse trial or gearing up for the schooling show season keep the above dates in mind.  Geneva Equestrian's schooling shows continue to draw horse and riders from throughout the area. Our fall IDCTA show was attended by 50 riders and was a huge success.  The cross country course was reversed and revamped to ensure that new challenges were presented for all riders.   The competition was stiff and the smiles were contagious.  First place mini-event competitors received a nylon picnic basket  embroidered with "Geneva Equestrian Mini-Event and CT".  Once again all riders finishing in the top 3 were presented with prizes and ribbons were awarded through 6th place.

We would like to acknowledge and give special congratulations to the following riders from our mini-event:

Tracie Sathoff and Get It In Gear for finishing 1st in Training CT Division
